He comments on the paradox of an axe, saying that an axe is needed to chop wood, but wood is also needed to make an axe. He leads himself to a tree to gather wood, and when making contact with it, he sees another tutorial message that informs him that it can be chopped with an axe. Finally onto the land of the larger island, Stampy jumps up, noting the convenience of the generation as the blocks appear like stairs. Torches are necessary to him as he is aware that enemies don't spawn if there is light around a particular area. While swimming across, he tutors that the first thing to do in Minecraft is get supplies, such as wood and coal, the latter being used for torches. Stampy then jumps into the water as he comments on his admiration for the clouds above to stride across to a larger island across from his spawn. Stampy attempts to hit another chicken, and continues to miss until finally killing it, and he comments that his sensitivity might be too high in how looking left and right is fine while looking up and down is not. Reading it, he also finds out that they randomly lay eggs. Stampy asks if there are any extra sheep around and sees a chicken, mistaken for a duck, and gets a tutorial message answering his question about whether or not they drop feathers when killing it. Upon walking opposite the direction of his spawn, Stampy finds some cows swarming an island, and he punches one while holding the sand and teasingly recommends that everyone "throws some sand in some cow's face".Īs Stampy comments on the character's speed, he punches another cow and also strikes a sheep, obtaining 3 pieces of wool so he can make a bed. The reason why he plans to do that first is to prepare for the monsters that will arrive by nightfall. In his case, he will prioritise working towards that over exploration as he punches a pig to receive porkchops, and saying that he will obtain supplies to build a house to survive the night. With his current method for starting the game also being something that he knows his audience will comment on, he says that other people start their first video of Minecraft is that they spend too much time exploring and admiring the land instead of preparing for the foregone night. Knowing that everyone will comment on him not checking the controls, he briefs that the reason why he won't do so is because "he's too hardcore". Repeating his main subject, Stampy continues that he hasn't played Minecraft ever before, and has seen a lot of videos on it, and establishes that the video is for him to survive the start of the game, while going to the menu to turn up his sensitivity, and lands on 150%, and then returns back to the game. While breaking snow to reach to reach the sand, he reads the tutorial message, and finds the ability to convert it into glass to be convenient. Seeing the environment, he remarks that it's "very snowy", and gives himself a tutorial message about sand upon placing his reticle onto it. Stampy finds his avatar on a small snow-covered beach next to a moderately icy lake, and starts spinning around to analyse his surroundings and announces the ground given to him as what Stampy's Lovely World turned out to be. Before his world is loaded, Stampy also explains that he can simply drop in and out of the game without having a story to worry about in the process, and he is interrupted by his interest in the game when it finally loads. Stampy believes that everyone releasing so much Minecraft content would lead everyone to become slightly bored of it, but he decided that he wanted to play it anyway and that he would enjoy playing it for the sake of his own entertainment.
Stampy explains that he was wondering whether or not he should commit to Minecraft content since everyone is doing it, at the time of early 2011, and didn't want to appear as though he was simply "following the crowd" or something similar to it. He voices that he will plan to make the video his first day and night playing in Minecraft.
He elaborates, saying that he has seen videos of it only from figures like The Yogscast (mispronounced "Yogcast"), and states that it will be his first ever time "stepping into the world of Minecraft." During the world creation menu sequence, Stampy questions how to write on Xbox as he names his world "Stampy's Lovely World" (written as "Stampy's lovely world"). Stampy welcomes his audience to a new Let's Play on the Xbox 360 Edition of Minecraft, and that the video is his first ever time playing the game.
